Final Magazine Advert
This is our final advert for our digipak. We made the advert the same as the digipak front cover to ensure that it relates to brand identity. We also responded to the feedback which we received from our classmates and this is what we ended up with.

Evaluation Question 2
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Our digipak and magazine advert look professional in terms of how a digipak and magazine advert should look but we challenged the conventions of R&B digipaks and magazine adverts because we wanted to do ours differently.
Our digipak and magazine advert look nice together show brand identity within each other this makes it look professional.
Our music video looks as professional as it could possibly look because there is no way it would look as professional as it should be because we school the software provided by the school and because the school is on a budget we couldn’t use a better software, another reason it couldn’t look as professional as it should be is we are students on a budget and couldn’t all props we would have loved to use in the video. E.g. Ray J One Wish and Keyshia Cole Heaven.
Our digipak and magazine advert doesn’t really look like real media products because we decided to challenge the convention of real media products but we still used the conventions of any R&B digipak and magazine by adding a track list, barcode, artist name/image etc.
Our music video looks like past R&B music videos because we used the same storyline/narrative for our music video which was a love relationship storyline.
Our music video looks like one you would see on MTV because we used most of the conventions needed for a music video.
Because we used all the conventions i would say our products look like one you would normal see in HMV, VEVO and YouTube. The conventions make them all look effective and like a real production.
They all look like they are part of the same production because brand identity was portrayed through all ancillary task and our final product which is our music video.
Brand identity is very useful because it shows the audience it is from the same label/production team, this done by using the same font, image, artist, colours scheme etc.
Brand identity was also shown through our music video because ewe used the location of a scene in our music video for our digipak and magazine advert.
The font size represents our genre because we used bold text because it is part of the conventions R&B adverts and digipaks. The colours, location, actor used were also the same.
We worked with our target audience to create an effective and presentable R&B music video, our target audience thought having a narrative would be better for our music video with a bit of performance involved because the song is a slow song and when they listen to the lyrics it makes them think of a relationship based music video and makes them relate to the song. The actors used were a male and a female because we tried to portray their relationship, we had wear day to day clothing in order to portray a normal relationship
Improvements
We should have gotten more shots and more locations.
make the actors not look at the camera as much.
Better shots to show more effectiveness and to make look more professional .
